Amen...
One point I would like to say.
I used to live in Japan and every year we would have at least 4 hurricanes. Sometimes they are weak, sometimes strong. Yet no one starved, no houses were flooded, and no one ever got hurt. Kids still went to school even though the Typhoon(thats what the Japanese call hurricane) was right above us. Because of one thing... the houses were made out of friggin concrete!!!1111one!!!!!111!!!11! If you take a stop by the CNN website, they got pictures of houses...wooden houses... Same for tornado alley peeps. Build house, tornado comes, wrecks house, rebuild house with WOOD, repeat. Its a dang neverending cycle. Weird southerners I guess?!?!

If you look at where Charlie and Francis crossed in Florida... that "X" is where I lived. Haules arse out of Florida for California right after Charlie, before Francis. Been through my share, seen the devastation. Peoples lived are completely thrown to chaos. If you live in a hurricanes path... get the hell out if you can.

Yeah...my prayers are with those that were effected by hurrican katrina. I live in IL so we are in a piece of tornado valley, but we never get any where I live (I live in a valley so the tornadoes just disappear when they start comign down the hill). We are a country of strong people. We'll come out of this stronger just like after 9/11. There has been worse hurricanes though. Andrew had 190 mph winds. Anyways....gl everyone down in the south from your nothern brothers.

Chaos breeds chaos. They need to remain calm and not make a bigger problem than already exists.

Ok so place yourself in an enviornment of water that intrudes to the roof of your house, let water lick gutters, water mains break, sweage spills that flow freely, Bayou Crocs, Snakes, and other Hazzards roam free and then realize your are destitue and without food or drink. Give it a few days I am sure you would pillage the community dry and loot to your fill you damn hypocrite.

it is sad and i hope everyone is ok, but dont the hurricanes and flooding happen every year? you would think the people would learn eventually, and all get mobile homes or something and leave when its flood season.

Funny how there was an article i read on the racism in it. There was an african american and it had a subtitle saying "spotted looting bread and milk from a near by grocery store" while there were caucasion people and the subtitle read "spotted finding bread and soda."
Grr... one of my pet peves

I'm in Mobile. It got bad here too. We were without power for 2.5 days. Some areas around me will be without for about 6 weeks. I can't imagine what Nawlins and Biloxi/Gulfport are dealing with since they got more flood waters than we did.
And while I was gone, those little b******s in my guild won HoH twice, without ME!! Our 1st guild HoH wins and I miss them. Ah, well! Our area has bigger problems than GW right now. I got a LOT of cleaning up to do.....
